That is an interesting idea. Let me see how many votes this gets. I will absolutely consider it.

Files have size by default. For folders you should click on a link to calculate the size. An option to run this check by default is planned.

Hi and thank you for posting this suggestion. WinRT is quite a limited sandbox but I'll check the API to see if this is available and if it is, I'll surely add it.

By the way, the Windows 8.1 version with a LOT of new features is finished and being tested. You'll get it in a couple of days.

Hello and thank you for your idea. I would very much like to add new languages to the app. However I don't have access to translators or native people for this. If I add the support for other languages, can you provide the Spanish translation?

I don't think this is an improvement with the new version of the OS. I would guess they've implemented this manually. I can do that too.

I'll do some research and if I had to implement this manually, I'll add a setting for it. I imagine some people will want the default behavior.

Hi. Thank you for your suggestion. That is by design and it's the same as the native File Explorer in Windows. The reason for this approach is that, in order show the folder size, you would need to get the size of the contents and any other subfolders in that folder. That would cause a huge performance hit in many cases. Suppose you navigate to your C: drive. There are literally millions of files in that drive and the app would have to get the properties for every single one of them to compute the size.

That said, if you get the properties of the folder (hence calculate its size), the app will remember it until you perform a refresh or navigate to another folder. This way at least you won't have to do it multiple times.

Let me know if you've got any further questions.

Hi. Of the 3, the 3rd one is the fastest to implement. The only thing is that when the tabs are visible, they're on top of the addressbar. Would a simple "pin" toggle button be enough so that you tap on it to make the tabs sticky until your work is finished or you want the tabs to be always visible and still be able to use the whole app ('cause that would require redesign of the entire app)

Thank you for all the suggestions. They're all good and valid. I'll try to incorporate as soon as possible.

Zip is definitely important. But I have to go with the major changes first. After the important features (such as the "Undo" you suggested) are finished, I'll add these as well. Thank you very much for all your feedback. Happy holidays.

Very nice idea. The app supports something like this for renaming multiple files but not copying. I will absolutely add this.

Since Modern apps are a little limited, I'm not sure there's an API to do this but I'm adding this to the TODO list for future so that you can at least create your own in-app libraries.
